Woodfordes Ale Trail 2011

After a one year gap Woodfordes have announced their popular Ale Trail for 2011. The Ale Trail is an incentive to visit outlets of Woodfordes ales in order to collect stamps which can win you a variety of prizes including a polypin of either Admirals Reserve or Nelsons Revenge. The outlets are principally throughout Norfolk and Suffolk and provide a chance to create walks to visit some of these off-the-beaten-track hostelries. The Ale Trail runs from June 19th until September 30th.

Two years ago we started the 2009 Ale Trail and managed to win ourselves two polypins and a t-shirt. In order to achieve this we walked the entire coast of Norfolk from Hunstanton to Lowestoft (yes, I know, Lowestoft is in Suffolk!) along with numerous walks around the Norfolk and Suffolk countryside. This really is a great way to have some good walks and enjoy some good beer. I dont think we will achieve as much this year as back then we had two bases from which to start our walks, one in Norfolk and one in Suffolk. Nonetheless we will give it a good go. All walks that are done will be tagged on this blog as Woodfordes Ale Trail 2011. A lot of these will be shorter walks but nonetheless still enjoyable!
